Despite being hampered by well-known army personnel concerns, Russian soldiers have continued in expanding their control over Ukraine’s eastern Donbas territories. Dr. Yuri Felshtinsky claims that people after “destroying” Ukraine, Putin would eventually shift on to another nation that he has long had his sights set on bringing people under formal Russian rule.
Moldova, a nation in Eastern Europe, has long expressed concern over its withdrawal from the EU and NATO.
A rebel area of Moldova known as Transnistria is backed by Moscow and probably shares hundreds of miles of the state border with Ukraine.
There is no official recognition of Transnistria.

Earlier this summer, former US ambassador to Moldova James Pettit stated clearly in a particular piece that the nation would be “very vulnerable to a Russian invasion.”
Despite having declared independence more than 30 years ago, it is not recognized as a country by any UN member.
The challenges of Russia’s continuous, fruitless efforts in Ukraine would not even come close to being present in an attack on this tiny nation, he continued.
According to Dr. Felshtinsky, Putin will “launch a war in Moldova the exact moment they reach Transnistria,” according to his book “Blowing up Ukraine: The Return of Russian Terror and the Threat of World War III.”
“Even before they are nearly done with Ukraine, if they reach Transnistria in the process, they will start to fight a war there,” he told Express.co.uk.

Dr. Felshtinsky rejected the idea that Putin would ever be satisfied to grab hold of the Donbas or currently controlled territories like Kherson, one of the first to fall during the Russian invasion.
He claimed that since Russian “peacekeepers” have been present in Transnistria since the fall of the Soviet Union, the foundation has been set there for almost ten years.
Approximately 2,000 Russian “peacekeeping” agents are thought to be present in Transnistria.
He stated: “He was truly evaluating Ukraine as a whole because he intended to travel to Moldova after that.
“There are over 220,000 Russian-speaking folks living in Transnistria, a region of Moldova, to whom the Russian government has begun issuing Russian passports.

“In 2014, they originally began doing this.”
However, according to Dr. Felshtinsky, Transnistria will be the first step in moving significantly closer to the rest of non-NATO member Moldova.
“Moldova would be in danger second Russia pushes into Transnistria,” he declared.
“They will reach Transnistria and begin the conflict in Moldova if the Ukrainians are unable to stop them. Naturally, Moldova is not a NATO member.”
Moldova is on the list and always has been, he said.
According to the outcome of a referendum in 2006, 97.2 percent of Transnistrian voters supported joining Russia.
